New York Post One
(I would post pictures, but since most of the readers are on my Facebook page and have seen them for awhile, I am not going to. There are over 1,000 pictures that I took over our trip. If you would like to see them again, I will email you the links.)
On July 22nd we all got on a plane and left for New York. This trip was a long one and we were all very excited about going. The last time that we'd seen everyone was Christmas last year which is entirely way too long! We got in late Thursday evening and it was absolutely wonderful to see family. You don't realize how much you really miss someone until they hug you and you see them face to face. When we were walking out of the airport into the security area, Billy was walking and trailing behind him was his rolling Cars backpack that Grandma and Papa had given him last year for school. There were a few bystanders and all in unison went, "Aww!". He's so stinking cute. (Takes after his daddy). Once we got home we relaxed for a little bit, ok... We were up to midnight or past because we were so happy to see family, we crashed. The next morning Daddy went and got out his Pellet Gun and decieded that he wanted to practice shooting with Billy and Papa. ;o) Billy did great and actually hit the can! (With Papa's help). That evening Aunt Tammy came over with her new dog named Shiloh. He was so BIG for a puppy. Billy warmed up to him, but Finnegan.... Not so much. He's even scared of stuffed animals. ;o) We were running around playing and having Shiloh chase us. The boys (well Finn tried) to give him treats. Billy enjoyed and laughed doing it and Finnegan actually ate it. Which doesn't surprise us because the boy eats everything, literally.
Saturday we went to Schroon Lake for Grandpa's Birthday. Uncle Neil, Aunt Shirley, Joshua and Uncle Dale were there. It had been a VERY long time since we had seen Neil and Shirley and it was our (the boys and I) first time meeting Joshua and Dale. The boys played and Joshua had a blast with Shiloh. We picked Raspberries from Grandma and Grandpa's bushes and they were very good. We all caught up, which was very nice. Neil and Shirley cooked an amazing dinner and Ronnie made Grandpa a DELICIOUS cake! We celebrated by opening presents and singing. Afterwards we decided to go to the beach. It was the boys first time down there and Finnegan ended up falling asleep on the way there. Halfway through our time down there I woke him up so he could have a little fun. ;o) Grandma gave the boys a pail and shovels and they went to town! After a little while at the beach we went back to the house and Grandpa gave the boys a ride on the tractor (one of their favorite things!). Shortly after we all packed up and headed home. It was a long day and we all had a really wonderful day and crashed when we got home.
Sunday we took it easy and hung out at home. Grandpa gave the boys a hair cut. Later that evening the boys ate dinner on the couch with their trays and watched Shrek.
