(All the kiddos minus Luke)
We walked around to see the bears and then headed to the 'Tiny Tot' area for the kiddos. They have flamingos, monkeys, insects, fish, cranes . . . .
After that we went and saw the Hippos! They L.O.V.E. the Hippos! There was a little exhibit going on and the kiddos got some stamps on their arms and they went nuts over it, it was adorable.
When we left the Hippos we walked around to go see the Elephants and stayed there for a bit. One Elephant was in his little 'hut' and the other one was cornered in. The kiddos were asking why the Elephant was hiding and the first thing that I thought of blurted out of my mouth, "The Elephant is in 'time-out'! He wasn't listening." LOL... Ooopsie. After we checked out the Elephants we headed back out to the main part of the Zoo and left. Since they did great (walking around the zoo for over an hour and a half, no whining, no screaming, no fighting, etc. lol) we took them on a train ride. They absolutely LOVE the train, "All Aboard"! Here they are waiting in line together, if this doesn't melt you heart... Oh my! Sooooo sweet!
They all had a great time on the train and it was time to leave, two hours at the Zoo and it was lunch time! (Definetly time to go!) They were in their glory though. We got them all loaded up, and I gave the boys their milk and graham crackers, Finn was OUT before we got to the Highway and Billy fell asleep by the time we got off on the main road to our house. Needless to say Finn slept for almost three hours and Billy was out for a little over two. Phew! What a fun day at the Zoo!
