Love Creek Orchard Pumpkin Patch

Today our family and the Rheinheimer's went to the pumpkin patch. It was about an hour and a half from our house, but well worth the drive! We are celebrating Billy and Luke's 3rd birthday. They were actually born on the same day. So we have our twins in our 'family'! We arrived at around 10:45 or so. Once we were all settled and out of the car we waited for our tractor ride to go over to the Orchard. The kids thought that it was amazing, they loved the ride. Once we paid and walked down we saw that there was a ride for the kids. A tractor was pulling along 'cars' of kids. It looked like a catapillar. The kids were jumping up and down they were so excited. We loaded them all in and they were in their glory! Clapping, smiling, and overjoyed with happiness. Once the ride was over we went for a little walk to see what else they had going on. We took a small tour and saw everything. We decided then to take all the kids on a Pony Ride since there was practically no line. It was $6 for a ride and it was the best $12 we have spent! Finnegan was the first on and he rode like a champ until we stopped so someone could take a picture and then he realized that he was on a pony and wanted Momma. So I showed him that it was ok and he held back onto the horn and tried his best to enjoy the remainder of the ride. Billy was wide eyed and ready to go. He smiled the entire time and soaked it all in. It was definetly something I will keep close to my heart for the rest of my life. I will never forget this day and the happiness in our sons eyes and faces. After that we went on another tractor ride around the Apple Trees and it was a lot of fun. Then we headed over to the face painting. That line probably took us 45 minutes. Believe it or not, ALL of the kids waited patiently. No one tugged on our arms and asked us when it was their turn. They stood in awe of what she was doing to the rest of the kids and couldn't wait to have it done. While Martha and I were waiting, Bill and Ron went and got us all hotdogs. They were Nathan's Jumbos. MMM Sooo good. We all devoured it and shortly after Billy was sitting down with his face laying on the table and the lady was painting a Spider on his face. He thought that it was the coolest thing ever! He was so proud of himself. When everyone was finished, we all sat down on hay stacks and let the kids run around, play and jump. We went back to the catapillar ride and I went on it so that Christopher could ride it. That kid has no fear. You think Finnegan has no fear? Christopher is a adrenaline junkie at almost 2! :oP Then we headed over to the hay maze and they went wild! They ran around and played for a long time and then we picked out our pumpkins and headed home. It was an absolute fabulous day and we had such a great time with family.

We went back to the Rheinheimer's house to celebrate the boys birthdays. We had Luke and Billy's favorite dinner taco/burritos! Martha - it was amazing!!! Then the boys had their cake, blew out their candles and we all indulged in lots and lots of sugar.
